Suffolk - WHAT TO DO

The Hadleigh Show which comes up every year on a Saturday around the 20th May

This is one of the last vestiges of real rural life, it is here that local farmers shows their 'Best'and it is a great day out in a unique old fashoined country style.

I have raced Tinky here in the terrier race which is the most hilarious event where she always ends 'bundling up' with the other terriers rather than chasing the stupid cloth 'rabbit'- if you have a terrier bring it along for it's moment of glory !

Maybe I will enter the honey producers competition this year and if all fails then it's off to the local Beer, Wine & Cider tents to commiserate

"A fun day out for all the family, Hadleigh Show is a popular country show which aims to promote agriculture and country life. Tradestands vary from farm machinery and fertilizers to commercial enterprises selling country clothing, garden plants and furniture, cars and country crafts, etc.

Livestock and equestrian competition classes, clay pigeon shooting, gun dog scurry, funfair, food hall, flower arranging demonstrations, art show, rural craft marquee, sheep shearing demonstration, and many more attractions can be found on the showground together with various refreshment stalls and a licensed bar to cater for your needs".
